Burger Quest :: Yeah Burger

So I’m the only fool at my Atlanta conference who opted to skip the food court just across from the hotel during our hour and a half lunch break and instead take the bus 3.0 miles northeast for fixings. But I’m on a serious burger quest – how could I neglect a place called Yeah! Burger?

To my good fortune, the bus was on time, and the driver was incredibly friendly and helpful – although she explained that I could not get change for my $0.50 fare overpayment. It was all good, though – I had burger on the brain so she could have shaken me down for a hundred and I might have been alright.

More friendliness came my way when I finally made it to Yeah! and ordered, the young man at the counter bubbly and sweet (don’t worry – I didn’t lick him). If you’ve read this blog before, you know how turned on I get with build-your-own sorts of establishments. At Yeah! Burger, I got to create my burger my way using their handy list of check box selections and add-ons. Bonuses included free wifi and their “keep it real” philosophy – Yeah! Burger firmly believes in the sustainable food movement, and providing healthy food options for customers.

My plan as I took a seat outside on the patio was to eat only half of my burger in order to save room for Yogli Mogli, a shop right across the street. Yeah! and the yogurt place sit on a charming set of blocks in the Virginia-Highlands area of Atlanta. If I didn’t have to hustle back to my conference for a session on all-hazards preparedness planning basics… and beyond, I might have hung out a little more. But after a relaxing ten minutes awaiting my burger, I had to gulp it down quickly in time to catch my return bus back to the hotel.

Succulent is the best way to describe it, robust turkey flavor working out well with all the add-ons I selected. The bun was firm on the outside, soft otherwise, reminding me of another yummy burger (one that I have not yet reviewed on Burger Quest) – Umami. The best part was the cheese – gooey and oozing out of my burger, and with a kick. The sweet P fries were a nice accompaniment, not offering a full sweet potato punch as I’ve had with other sweet Ps, but tasty still; not overly fried. Paired with Heinz organic ketchup, they were wonderful.

All in all, well worth the money and certainly worth the quick getaway – perfectly sized and made with fresh ingredients. I’d have to say Yeah!, I couldn’t help but finish the entire burger.

But I still got some Yogli Mogli.

  2. Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said
    “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
    There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
